How tailored strategies lead to a decisive competitive advantage

Management
The name “Evoluconsult” is a combination of the words evolution and consulting. We interpret the term evolution in terms of optimal adaptation to the environment, which maximizes the chances of success of the products that the company develops as well as those of the company itself. Well-adapted companies appear strong compared to others. They succeed where others fail. With this name, we want to emphasize that our advice focuses on strengthening the competitiveness of our customers. We focus on the sub-areas we are familiar with: Innovation and product development.

How tailored strategies lead to a decisive competitive advantage

We develop and implement strategies that improve both customer products and company performance. The name “Evoluconsult” makes it clear that our advice is aimed at strengthening our customers' competitiveness. Our consulting services focus on the areas in which we have many years of expertise: innovation and product development.

Two performance indicators

Our support is aimed at two different performance indicators: on the one hand, the identification, selection and development of competitive products, and on the other hand, the company's ability to react effectively, flexibly and efficiently to a changing environment and to continuously create profitable new products. The former promotes a successful evolution of the company's products, while the latter promotes the evolution of the company organization itself.

These development paths are not independent of each other, but are closely linked, with the development of the corporate organization providing the basis for further development of the products. Without development of the company, product innovation will come to a standstill.

Example Stacey Matrix

A company that develops its products strictly according to a purely sequential waterfall model will find it more difficult to develop new products with unclear requirements than a competitor that has mastered agile and hybrid process models. The correlation is clearly illustrated in an adaptation of the so-called Stacey matrix. In the example, the unclear requirements represent the change in the business environment to which the company must react in order to remain competitive or to improve its competitive position. The difficult influence of unclear requirements is currently prominently observable in the area of the Renewable Energy Sources Act.

In addition, there are a number of other factors that make it necessary for a company to develop or change in order to be successful in the area of innovation and product development. Artificial intelligence is undoubtedly one of these factors.

Although the necessity and urgency of such changes are well known, their successful and sustainable implementation still poses a major challenge for most companies. This requires a sound knowledge of the desired target states, the ability to develop and implement an appropriate strategy, and the necessary time and availability for these tasks. The change is only complete when employees apply the new workflows, methods, tools and behaviors correctly and willingly, and of their own accord. Changing the corporate culture is a key factor in the long-term success of the implemented measures.

The development of new, promising products that better meet customer expectations is another advantage. This opens up new potential for product development. We support our customers in tapping into this potential.
